VOLTLOK® Dual-Entry Earthing Nut
The Future of SWA Earthing Starts Here.
One precision-machined component. No drilling. No crimping. No ring terminals. Engineered in Britain for faster, cleaner and more professional electrical installations.
Product Overview
An all-in-one earthing solution — engineered to replace the drill, the crimp, the banjo and the ring terminal.
The VOLTLOK® Dual-Entry Earthing Nut delivers a fast, secure and repeatable earth connection for armoured cable gland installations and metal enclosures. Its dual-entry design, extended brass holding tab and full 360° serrated earthing interface eliminate traditional earthing methods, reducing installation time whilst supporting reliable earth continuity and effective EMC bonding.

Engineering Rationale
Every design decision, explained.
VOLTLOK® isn’t a list of features — it’s a series of deliberate engineering decisions that remove the compromises electricians accept every day.
Why dual-entry
Two independent conductor ports allow both incoming and outgoing earth cables to terminate directly at the gland — eliminating separate earth links, banjo washers and ring terminals.
Why 360° serrations
A fully serrated interface bites through paint, powder-coat and oxidation around the entire cable-gland thread — designed to support effective earth continuity and EMC bonding when correctly specified and installed.
Why four grub screws
Two A2 stainless clamping screws per conductor entry distribute the holding force evenly across each conductor. Tighten both screws for each occupied entry to the approved torque.
Why no drilling
Drilling an enclosure compromises IP rating, introduces swarf, and creates unpainted metal that corrodes. VOLTLOK® terminates at the existing gland thread — no enclosure modification required.
Why no crimping
Crimped lugs depend on tool calibration, correct die selection and installer technique. A mechanical clamping interface is inspectable, repeatable and re-terminatable in the field.
Why no banjo
Banjo washers rely on paint-piercing serrations under a single point load and add multiple stacked components. VOLTLOK® integrates the earth path and clamp into one machined body.
Why no ring terminals
Ring terminals require stripping, crimping, drilled fixings and separate earth studs. VOLTLOK® replaces the entire assembly with a single component terminated at the gland.
Why no internal spanner
The conductor-clamping screws are accessible from above when installed, using a standard hex key — no reaching inside a live enclosure and no awkward torque access.
Installation
Four steps. Under 60 seconds.
Step 01Position
Thread VOLTLOK® onto the cable gland inside the enclosure with the serrated interface facing the enclosure wall.
Step 02Tighten the gland
Use the integral holding tab to restrain the body while the cable gland is tightened externally.
Step 03Insert
Strip the earth conductor to the specified length and insert it fully into either conductor-entry port.
Step 04Secure
Tighten both clamping screws associated with each occupied conductor entry to the approved torque.
